Speaking & Workshops
for Youth Ministries
Workshops, seminars, and conference sessions that prepare your graduating students to persist in faith and life, led by Dr. Tremayne Thurman, OTD.
"Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it."PROVERBS 22:6
Why It Matters
You disciple students for years. Then they leave for college, and the first year decides whether what you built holds. The breakdown is rarely the lessons they were taught. It is the everyday life skills and the anchor that hold a young person steady when home is far away. That anchor is what keeps them steady.

Bring an Event to Your Ministry
Start with a single talk, or build a full experience. Each one stands alone and opens the door to the ten-week Lab.
KEYNOTE · BEST FIRST STEP
The First Year Decides
45 TO 60 MINUTES · SERVICE, RETREAT, OR PARENT NIGHT
The one idea that emotional intelligence and identity are the hidden edge that decides whether a graduate persists. The clearest first taste of the work, for a whole room.
WORKSHOP
Half-Day Intensive
ABOUT 3 HOURS · SATURDAY OR RETREAT BLOCK
The seven life skills hands-on, with an emotional intelligence snapshot and a behavioral style profile each student can read about themselves.
WORKSHOP
Full-Day Intensive
ABOUT 6 HOURS · RETREAT DAY OR DEDICATED SATURDAY
The complete experience. All seven skills, both assessments with a guided debrief, small-group practice, and a sending session that closes the day.
SEMINAR
Parent and Student Evening
ABOUT 2 HOURS · BOTH GENERATIONS IN THE ROOM
The transition conversation for families, so parents and students leave with a shared language and a plan for the year ahead.
TEAM BUILDING
Group Cohesion
ABOUT 2 TO 3 HOURS · YOUTH GROUP OR LEADERSHIP TEAM
Cohesion through behavioral-style awareness. Students and leaders learn how they are wired and how to work across differences. Strong for a retreat kickoff or a volunteer team.
CONFERENCE
Session or Main Stage
BREAKOUT OR FULL SESSION · SCALES TO ANY ROOM
A breakout or main session at your youth conference, or a full event co-anchored with TGG for a region of churches.
From a Faith-Based School Leader
"My leadership team has used more from this professional development than any others they have taken in the past few years. This has been the talk of the school."

Where the Event Leads
Students who can name several caring mentors are far more likely to keep their faith through college. The event opens the door; the counsel continues in the
College-Ready Life Skills Lab, a ten-week program for your graduating juniors and seniors, faith-friendly with an Anchor week built in, including both assessments and a certificate of completion. Many churches book an event first, then run the Lab as a cohort for their students.

Who Leads It
Led by Dr. Thurman, OTD, a certified EQ-i 2.0 consultant and a Maxwell Method DISC consultant and trainer with nearly two decades in occupational therapy, a husband of more than twenty years, and a father of three who teaches from a faith-formed conviction that identity is the anchor under every other skill.
Available virtually or in person, for groups of any size, for students in grades 9 through 12 and their parents.
