Terms of Service

Last Updated May 9, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Thurman Group Global, Inc. ("TGG," "we," "us," or "our") website at thurmangroupglobal.com, the College Edge program, and all related assessments, coaching engagements, guides, and services. By accessing our website, downloading a guide, enrolling in a program, scheduling a consultation, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, downloading our guides, completing our forms, enrolling in any program, or purchasing any service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of that minor and consent to the minor's participation, subject to Section 2.

2. Eligibility, Minor Participants, and Data Ownership

Our services are available to individuals age 13 and older. The legal authority over a student's program records and assessment results is governed by the student's age and postsecondary enrollment status, in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and applicable state laws. We follow a three-rule framework:

Rule 1: Students Under 18 and Not Yet Enrolled in College

For minor students who are not yet enrolled in any postsecondary institution, parents or legal guardians enroll on the student's behalf, agree to these Terms, and provide payment information. Parents are included in the debrief by default and receive a separate Parent Briefing as part of the program. Schools, churches, youth ministries, and other organizations may enroll groups of participants. The organization's authorized representative is responsible for confirming the appropriate parental or guardian consent for any participating minors.

Rule 2: Students 18 and Older, OR Students Enrolled in College

For students who are 18 or older, OR for students of any age who are enrolled in a postsecondary institution, the student is the legal owner of their own program records and assessment results. Under FERPA, educational record rights transfer to the student upon the student's 18th birthday OR upon enrollment in a postsecondary institution, whichever occurs first. This applies even if a parent paid for the program.

For these students, the debrief and all coaching sessions belong to the student. Parents may participate in the student's program activities only with the student's written consent. Parents who wish to be involved without accessing the student's individual data may enroll in the Parent Partner Add-On, which provides parental coaching independently of the student's results.

For minor students who turn 18 during their engagement, OR who enroll in a postsecondary institution mid-program, ownership of program records and assessment results transfers to the student at that time. Continued parent involvement after the transfer requires the student's written consent.

Rule 3: Consent and Disclosure Form

Every family completes a consent and disclosure step at enrollment that documents the student's age, postsecondary enrollment status, the legal owner of the data, and the student's parent involvement preference. This documentation is captured electronically with timestamp and version control. The student or parent (per the rules above) may update the parent involvement preference in writing at any time by contacting us at legal@thurmangroupglobal.com.

3. Services We Provide

TGG provides emotional intelligence and college readiness services that may include, depending on the offering you select:

  • The College Edge program in its Launch, Momentum, and Persist tiers
  • Administration and interpretation of the EQ-i 2.0 emotional intelligence assessment
  • Administration and interpretation of the Maxwell DISC personality indicator
  • One-on-one and group coaching sessions
  • Educational guides, workbooks, and digital resources
  • Workshops, seminars, and speaking engagements
  • The Parent Partner Add-On for structured parent engagement
  • Custom programs for schools, churches, and youth organizations

The specific deliverables, timeline, and number of sessions vary by program and tier. Specifics for the offering you purchase are described on the relevant product page or enrollment confirmation at the time of purchase.

4. Program Enrollment and Consent

Enrollment is confirmed when you complete payment in full or sign up for an installment plan, accept these Terms at checkout, complete the consent and disclosure step at debrief booking, and receive a written confirmation from us by email. Until all four conditions are met, no enrollment exists and no services are owed.

It is your responsibility to provide accurate contact, billing, age, enrollment status, and participant information at enrollment and at debrief booking. Inaccurate information may affect the parent involvement structure of the program. We are not responsible for delays or service failures caused by inaccurate information you provide.

5. Payment Terms

All fees are stated in U.S. dollars and are processed through Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or bank account details on our servers. By submitting payment, you authorize us and Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the amount agreed at checkout.

If a payment is declined, returned, or charged back, we reserve the right to suspend services until payment is successfully completed and to charge reasonable fees associated with collection efforts as permitted by law.

6. Installment Plans and Recurring Payments

Important Commitment

When you select an installment plan, you are committing to all scheduled payments for the program tier you have chosen, regardless of whether you complete the program.

Selecting an installment plan is a financial commitment to the full program price spread over the agreed schedule. It is not a per-month subscription you may cancel mid-stream.

For each College Edge tier (Launch, Momentum, and Persist), TGG offers a pay-in-full option and a multi-payment installment option. The specific dollar amount, number of installments, and billing cadence for the option you select are displayed on the checkout page at the time of purchase and are confirmed in your enrollment confirmation email. The amounts shown at checkout are the controlling figures for your enrollment.

By selecting an installment plan and completing checkout, you authorize TGG and Stripe to automatically charge the payment method you provide on the same calendar day each billing cycle, for the number of payments specified at checkout, beginning on the day you enroll. After the final scheduled payment is processed, the recurring charge ends automatically. No additional charges are made beyond the scheduled installment count.

If a scheduled installment payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to collect the payment within a reasonable retry window. You agree to update your payment method promptly if it expires or is replaced. If a payment remains uncollected after our reasonable retry efforts, we may suspend program access and refer the unpaid balance for collection in accordance with applicable law.

You may pay any remaining balance in full at any time by contacting us at billing@thurmangroupglobal.com.

Program prices are subject to change. Any change in pricing applies only to enrollments made after the change takes effect. Existing installment plans are honored at the price agreed at the time of original enrollment.

7. Refund Policy

Because our programs include immediate access to assessments, coaching scheduling, and digital resources upon enrollment, refund eligibility is limited as follows:

  • Within 7 days of enrollment, before any assessment is administered or coaching session is held: a full refund is available upon written request to billing@thurmangroupglobal.com.
  • After an assessment has been administered or a coaching session has been held: all fees are non-refundable. This applies whether the assessment was completed by the participant or simply made available, because the assessment license fees and coaching capacity are committed at that point.
  • Installment plans: the 7-day refund window applies to the full program price, not just the first installment. Cancellation after the 7-day window does not release you from the remaining installment obligations.
  • Workshops, seminars, and group programs: have separate refund terms communicated at the time of registration.

All refund requests must be submitted in writing. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

8. Cancellation and Withdrawal

You may withdraw from a program at any time by emailing billing@thurmangroupglobal.com. Withdrawal stops further scheduling of coaching sessions and ends our active service obligations.

Withdrawal does not, by itself, trigger a refund or release you from any remaining payment obligations. Refund eligibility is governed by Section 7. Installment payment obligations continue per Section 6 unless we agree in writing to a modification.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access for any participant who violates these Terms, behaves in a manner that disrupts or harms other participants, or fails to maintain payment in good standing. In cases of termination by TGG for cause, no refund is owed for services already rendered.

9. Assessments (EQ-i 2.0 and Maxwell DISC)

The EQ-i 2.0 emotional intelligence assessment is administered under license from Multi-Health Systems (MHS). The Maxwell DISC personality indicator is administered under license from the Maxwell Leadership platform. By enrolling, you understand:

  • Assessments are intended for personal development, self-awareness, and college readiness coaching, not for clinical diagnosis, employment screening, or any high-stakes decision making.
  • Once an assessment access code is issued or an assessment is taken, the underlying license fee is non-refundable regardless of program withdrawal.
  • Assessment results are personal information and are handled per our Privacy Policy. Results are owned by the student per the rules in Section 2 and are not shared with schools, employers, or other third parties without explicit written consent from the data owner.
  • For minor students not yet enrolled in college, assessment results are shared with the enrolling parent or legal guardian as well as the student.
  • For students 18 and older, OR students enrolled in college, the student owns the results, and parents may access them only with the student's written consent.

10. Participant Conduct

You agree to engage with TGG staff, coaches, and other participants respectfully and in good faith. You agree not to:

  • Share login credentials, assessment access codes, or program materials with anyone outside the enrolled household or organization
  • Record coaching sessions without prior written consent from TGG
  • Use TGG materials, content, or methodology to develop a competing service
  • Engage in harassment, discrimination, threats, or any unlawful conduct toward TGG staff or other participants
  • Misrepresent your identity, age, enrollment status, or guardian status during enrollment

Violation of these conduct standards may result in immediate termination without refund.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and within our programs, including guides, workbooks, slide decks, video recordings, frameworks, methodologies, audio content, the "There Is Greatness Inside" tagline, the "College Edge" name, and the "Getting In to Succeeding" framework, is owned by or licensed to TGG and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

When you enroll in a program, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the materials for your own personal development. This license does not permit:

  • Reselling, redistributing, or republishing any TGG materials
  • Creating derivative works based on TGG content
  • Using TGG content to train any artificial intelligence model
  • Using TGG branding, logos, or program names to imply endorsement of third-party services

EQ-i 2.0 is a registered trademark of Multi-Health Systems. Maxwell DISC and related Maxwell Leadership trademarks are owned by their respective holders. Use of these names within our programs is licensed and does not transfer any rights to you.

12. User-Submitted Content

You may submit content during enrollment, coaching, assessment intake, comments, or feedback ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant TGG a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and adapt that content for the purpose of delivering services to you and improving our programs.

If you provide a written testimonial, review, or success story, you grant TGG a separate, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use it (with your name and likeness if you provide them) in marketing materials. You may revoke testimonial use at any time by emailing us. Revocation applies to future use only.

You represent that all User Content you submit is your own original work or content you have the right to share, and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.

13. Disclaimers and No Guarantees

Our programs are educational and developmental in nature. We do not guarantee:

  • Admission to any specific college, university, or other institution
  • Award of any specific scholarship, grant, or financial aid
  • Any specific academic, career, or financial outcome
  • Any specific score, profile, or interpretation result on the EQ-i 2.0 or Maxwell DISC assessments

Our services are not therapy, counseling, medical care, psychological evaluation, or legal advice. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or have clinical needs, please consult a licensed mental health professional. If you have legal or financial questions related to college selection, financing, or enrollment, please consult a qualified professional in that field.

Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, except as required by applicable law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TGG, its officers, employees, contractors, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our website or services, including without limitation lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, or emotional distress.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to TGG in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TGG, its officers, employees, contractors, and licensors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of our website or services, (c) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (d) any User Content you submit.

16. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use our website or are enrolled in any program. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms or for any conduct we determine in good faith to be harmful to TGG or to other participants. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution, will survive.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved as follows:

  • Informal resolution first. You agree to contact us at legal@thurmangroupglobal.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days before initiating formal proceedings.
  • Binding arbitration. If informal resolution fails, the dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in Cumberland County, North Carolina, or by remote hearing as the arbitrator directs.
  • No class actions. You and TGG agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding.
  • Small claims exception. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email or by prominent notice on our website. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
