The Case for Schools

Why This Is an Institutional Investment

🎓

Protect the Outcomes You Already Produce

Your school spends $40,000 to $70,000 per student per year preparing them academically. College Edge protects that investment by ensuring students arrive at college emotionally equipped to stay.

🤝

Alumni Giving Starts With Graduation

Students who graduate give. The NAIS median independent school raises $1.51 million annually. Every additional graduation is a future alumni donor. College Edge is an advancement investment with a 20-year return.

📊

Own the Data in Your Market

No competitor in the Southeast delivers validated EI and Communication Mapping assessments to private upper school students with clinician-educator delivery. Your school holds data no competitor has.

The Structural Analogy

D1 Athletes Graduate
at 85%. Here Is Why.

NCAA Division I student-athletes graduate at 85%, which is 23 points above the national average. Not because they are academically stronger than their peers. Because they receive exactly what College Edge provides: structured weekly accountability, individualized advisors, and a support system that tracks emotional and academic health throughout the year.

College Edge is that infrastructure, clinically validated, emotionally grounded, and available to every student in your cohort.

The 20-Year Institutional Return

Your Alumni Giving
Problem Starts Here.
College Edge
Addresses It Here.

Alumni donor counts fell for the fourth consecutive year in fiscal 2025. The donors disappearing are predominantly younger graduates whose enrollment experience did not build a lasting institutional bond.

Sense of belonging during enrollment is the single strongest predictor of alumni giving, stronger than income, stronger than grades, stronger than solicitation frequency.

THE FOUR-LINK CHAIN
1
EI development builds college persistence
JEHD 2025: +9% retention per 1-unit EI stress resilience increase
2
Persistence produces graduates with strong alumni identity
Dropouts rarely appear in alumni donor pipelines
3
Belonging during enrollment is the strongest predictor of alumni giving
Drezner and Pizmony-Levy 2021; Miller 2013
4
Alumni donors compound into endowment growth for generations
NAIS median $1.51M annual; CASE VSE 2025
No study yet directly connects a high school EI intervention to alumni giving rates 20 years later. Every link in this chain is independently validated. Your school's data partnership with TGG is the beginning of that evidence.

What Premier Adds

Beyond Cohorts.
Built for the Long Term.

Premier is structured for the head of school whose responsibility extends past program delivery to board governance, advancement strategy, and long-term institutional positioning. It is the same College Edge program at the largest scale, with six additions that no other tier carries.

01

Founding Partner Designation

The first cohort of Premier partner schools is recognized in TGG's published materials and on the TGG website as Founding Partners of the College Edge program. This is a permanent, named recognition that later partners cannot receive. Listed with the partner school's permission.

02

Annual Strategy Session With Dr. Thurman

A 90-minute private working session each year between Dr. Thurman, your head of school, and your college counseling director. Focused on your cohort's outcomes, the year ahead, and any specific institutional considerations on the table.

03

Annual Cohort Outcome Report and Briefing Call

A substantive year-end report on your Premier cohort: pre/post EQ-i 2.0 subscale movement, individual debrief completion, and exit self-assessment data. Delivered with a 30-minute briefing call between Dr. Thurman and your head of school ahead of your spring board meeting, so trustee questions about the program can be answered with confidence.

04

Two Faculty Workshops Per Year

One fall workshop focused on EI in advisory and college counseling delivery. One spring workshop focused on Communication Mapping for faculty teams. Both delivered on campus by Dr. Thurman.

05

Named Contributor Recognition on Outcome Publications

When TGG publishes peer-reviewed or industry research that includes your cohort's de-identified aggregate data, your school is named as a contributing partner. The first publication, drawing on the Francis Marion University partnership, is expected in Fall 2026. Future publications will follow as data permits.

06

Priority Access to the Certified Facilitator Program

When TGG's Certified Persist Method Facilitator program launches in 2027, Premier partner schools receive first-priority enrollment access for their counseling and advisory staff. Enrollment is a paid add-on at the Founding Cohort rate, the lowest pricing tier available. This positions Premier partners to bring College Edge in-house at the year-round level under TGG licensing.

The Persist Method

One Method.
Built for Your Whole School.

Your school partnership draws from The Persist Method, the EQ-grounded approach to persistence developed by Dr. Tremayne Thurman, OTD. The Foundation, Growth, and Premier tiers above are the institutional applied version. Your partnership can also extend into faculty development, counselor certification, and the book and workbook for incoming students.
